When our GE air conditioner quit for the second time, we elected to remove it and buy a new efficient one with a heat pump and wi-fi capabilities. This thing is super quiet too!
Work smarter, not harder…. We rented a ductwork lift for $100 bucks. Planning on using it to lift the new AC on the roof and to lower the old GE unit down.
All the wires are un-hooked and we just pushed up on the old unit to break the seal loose.
Before setting the new unit in place, I used dawn dish detergent and water to scrub the roof surface clean and applied the new seal on the bottom of the new unit.
Went inside to see how well it lined up. Nailed it first try!!!
